GWYRFAI LEAGUE CWPAN CHWARAE TEG FINAL 16/5/08
Bethel Blues 3 v Penrhosgarnedd 2
A side weakened by the absence of captain Daniel Bell & injured Cai Weightman battled superbly in a competitive final played at Felinheli, Bethel were slow to settle and only got their game going after a brilliant weaving run and strike from Ryan Jones, from there the lads picked up where they left off in Blackpool with some fine pass and move football. Blues second goal was another great run and shot by Alex Jones,Penrhos pulled one back to make a game of it,but Blues hit back, and a headed pass from Joe Holding was struck home by Ryan for number three,it could have been four but for a disallowed goal by Joe which was clearly not offside. ht:3-1
The second half saw Penrhos take the game to Bethel and but for some fine saves from Liam Williams the game would have been level, they did however score a fine strike, and Bethel spent much of the latter stages of the match holding out. The final whistle saw vice Captain Tomos Emlyn lift the cup, a just reward for the brilliant football Bethel Blues have played over the course of the season. Next stop the Newton Athletic tournament at Chester Racecourse next Sunday.

Wednesday May 7th
Bethel Blues 2 – Cae Glyn 5
Bethel league season ending on a whimper in a match which summed up their whole season. For 20 minutes of the first half Bethel dominated the match with some stunning football which culminated with a fine lob over the keeper by Ryan Jones to give the home side the lead. A brilliant piece of wing play on the right by Alex Jones, his cross was headed home for number two by Ryan again. But awful defensive errors showed the other side of Blues as they let the Cofis take a 3-2 lead into half time.
Cae Glyn started the second half with much more purpose, and despite creating many chances Bethel could not level the score, the visitors catching the Blues twice to make the final score 2 – 5
Scorer Ryan Jones 2
Bethel Blues travel to Blackpool on Friday to take part in a prestigious tournament. Good luck to the boys and most of all enjoy!
Cwpan Chwarae Teg Semi Final at Bontnewydd -
Thursday 1st May
Bethel Blues 6 – Felinheli 0
Bethel fired their way into the final with some fine football on a poor surface. The first goal was from captain Daniel Bell with a powerful shot from the edge of the box. Shortly after Gruffydd John found space to shoot across the keeper for number two. Many more chances went begging but Blues went into half time 2 – 0 ahead.
More Bethel pressure in the second half saw a Gruffydd cross side footed in by Daniel for the third goal. Then the goal of the game as Ryan Jones unleashed a 25 yard shot which gave the keeper no chance. Number five was Ryan’s again as a Daniel pass was skilfully finished off by the striker. A Jamie Stevens lob struck the crossbar before the final goal, a great cross from Ashley Frazer put away by Daniel for his hat trick.
Best of luck in the final.
Scorers: Daniel Bell 3, Ryan Jones 2 Gruffydd John.

Semi final Gwyrfai League Cup
Bethel 4 – Cae Glyn 3 (after extra time)
The game was played at Felinheli. This was a very exciting game between 2 of the top league teams. Bethel had a 2 -0 lead with 2 goals by Steffan Bullock. Cae Glyn fought their way back by scoring 3 goals and victory was in sight for them. With a few minutes of the game left Gwion Williams struck a volley from halfway which beat the diving Cae Glyn keeper. Extra time had to be played and with the light fading Steffan Bullock decided matters with his hatrick of the match. Congratulations Bethel and well done Cae Glyn for contributing to a very exciting and entertaining game.

The Blues continued their impressive finish to the season with this fine display,Joe Holding opened the scoring with an overhead kick following a corner, goal number two was an own goal after a cross from Alex Jones was deflected in. Joe concluded the first half scoring with a sharp finish, after some quick build up play. HT:0-3.
The second half was not very old when Tom McPartland found himself through on goal to score after a brilliant through ball from midfield,Ashley Frazer then scored his first of the season with a shot from inside the box,the next goal was a fine shot in off the crossbar from Gruffydd John,Ryan Jones then scored number seven from a good cross by Cai Weightman,a great through ball from Tomos Emlyn then set up Jamie Stevens to lob the keeper for number eight, the penultimate goal was a crisp finish by Ryan Jones again, the goal of the game was saved for last when Gruffydd struck a stunning volley to put Blues in double figures.FT:0-10.

GWYRFAI LEAGUE WED 16/4/08
Nantlle Vale 0 v Bethel Blues 2
A superb performance by the boys tonight in a tough physical game, Blues had to make a change in goal with Aaron Gwyn taking over from a sick Liam Williams, this also meant a first start at centre back for Gruffydd John, but both players made the positions their own in a defence which was rock solid throughout, Bethel had Vale rocking early on with a couple of early chances going just wide, the breakthrough came midway through the half when Daniel Bell played a through ball for Ryan Jones to run onto and fire across the keeper into the net.ht:0-1.
The second half followed the pattern of the first as Blues easily coped with the home sides attacks, and always looked dangerous when they went forward, the second goal came with 15 minutes left as substitute Cai Weightman scored a wonderful lobbed goal from the corner of the penalty area, after fine interplay between him and Alex Jones. ft:0-2
SCORERS: Ryan Jones & Cai Weightman.
GWYRFAI LEAGUE WED 9/4/08
Bethel Blues 3 Felinheli 0
Blues moving up to second in the table after this scrappy game, it was one way traffic in the first half as Bethel looked to take an early advantage, but sloppy play & a congested penalty area prevented this happening, midway through the half however a free kick for the visitors was cleared & saw Blues break upfield for Tom McPartland to score his fifth goal of the season, later in the half a fine shot from outside the box by Alex Jones broke the Felin resistance to send the home side into the break 2-0 ahead.
The second half saw Blues using the wings to much better effect, and but for some fine saves by Carwyn Eddy in the Felin goal Bethel could have increased their lead, the third goal eventually came however from a quality turn and shot by Cai Jones.
SCORERS: Tom McPartland, Alex Jones & Cai Jones.

Bethel 2 – Rhyl Hearts 5
Bethel suffer a disappointing defeat at the hands of a strong Rhyl side. Rhyl took the lead ten minutes before half time and scored a second early after the interval. Spirits were raised when Dyfan Coles scored to make it 2-1 but Bethel sucumbed a third goal soon after and despite another goal from Dyfan, Rhyl were worthy winners with two goals to finish the game.

Bethel 1 - Bethel Blue 0
A very tight game with the midfield battle being won by Bethel Blues who put constant pressure on the Bethel back four. Despite this, luck and perseverance seemed on the side of Bethel this time with a scrambled goal from Gethin Maxwell after 50 minutes giving them all the points.
Saturday, March 15th 2008
Bethel Blues 2 - Cae Glyn United 2 (8-9 after penalties)
A tremendous cup tie on a cold rainy evening saw the Blues survive a couple of early scares before settling into their game and taking the lead early in the first half, after some fine build up play and a clinical finish from Ryan Jones, his third goal in as many games, the visitors responded well and hit Bethel with two goals at the end of the half, the second a penalty, after goalkeeper Liam Williams was penalised for fouling the United forward. ht:1-2.
The second half saw a very even contest, but Blues levelled matters midway through the half with a fine finish by Daniel Bell, again Cae Glyn came back strongly, but with the weather worsening & the light fading,a winner looked unlikely, although Bethel laid siege to the visitors goal in the closing stages the decider would not come. So the tie went to penalties with Cae Glyn winning the sudden death shoot out 9-8.

Gwyrfai League Cup
Penrhosgarnedd 0 – Bethel 6
Bethel deserve their place in the semi final of the Gwyrfai League Cup after a win against Penrhos. Those who turned out to support the teams were treated to a high quality game despite both teams having to contest against the strong wind and heavy condition of the pitch. The highlight of the game came early on in the first half with Gavin Williams’ fine save from the penalty spot. Bethel went on from strength to strength following that inspiring save!
SCORERS: Gwion Williams, Steffan Bullock, Mathew Williams 2, Gerallt Jones, Ben Parker
Saturday, March 1st 2008
Bethel Blues 1 – Llanberis 1
A lacklustre performance & stern Llanberis defending meant that points were shared this morning. It was a bright start by Blues who created one or two good openings but found the visitors keeper in fine form, from one Bethel attack Llanberis countered at pace and from a difficult angle their centre forward scored the opening goal. It proved to be the visitors only meaningful effort on goal in the whole match. Late in the first half Ryan Jones latched onto a fine through ball to find himself one on one with the keeper, his shot found the corner to equalise. ht:1-1
The second half was very much like the first but Blues created very few clear cut chances, apart from a Tom McPartland shot which struck the crossbar. Late in the game Bethel forced a barrage of corners but could not find a winner.
SCORER: Ryan Jones.

Cae Glyn United 1 - Bethel Blues 2
A well deserved three points for Blues this morning as they put together a hard workman like defensive performance to restrict the league leaders to half chances & when Cae Glyn did get a clear sight of goal they found keeper Liam Williams in brilliant form. Bethel always played the better football and looked dangerous every time they went forward, the first goal came early on when Ryan Jones pounced on the goalies fumble to put Bethel ahead, the lads had many chances to increase the lead, but half time saw them one up.
As expected the second half saw the Cofis put the pressure on to try and reclaim the match, but Blues defence stood firm and indeed from one spell of pressure Gruffydd John broke at great pace and lobbed the keeper to make it 2-0,chances came and went for both sides but with six minutes left United scored to give them a slim hope, but Blues remained firm to claim the points.Three wins from the last four now sends the boys in good form as they face Cae Glyn again at Cae Coed Bolyn next Saturday 10.30 a.m kick off.
SCORERS: Ryan Jones & Gruffydd John.
Saturday, 26th January 2008
Bethel Blues 2 - Nantlle Vale 3
SCORERS: Gruffydd John, 1 o.g.
A very entertaining match saw Blues get off to a sluggish start and gift two sloppy goals to Vale with poor defending, Bethel kept trying to chip away at a resolute defence, but could not break them down, then with 3 minutes of the first half remaining the home side won a free kick wide on the left which was taken by Daniel Bell, his effort was deflected in for an own goal. ht:1-2
The second half saw the boys take the game to Vale, with the introduction of Tom McPartland giving Blues much needed pace up front, with a few minutes gone Blues were back in the game when a corner was volleyed home by Gruffydd John. The game now swung from end to end, but Vale got the breakthrough late on when a penalty was awarded for a foul by goalkeeper Liam Williams on the Nantlle forward. The penalty was put away in fine style and Vale once again had the lead. Bethel continued to fail to break through the fine visitors defence, and looked to have a valid claim for a hand ball in the area, but play was waved on. Time finally ran out for the boys and with it hopes of league glory, now the fight is on for runners up spot. ft:2-3
Next scheduled match: Cae Glyn United (A)
Saturday, 12th January 2008
Bethel Blues 4 - Bontnewydd 1
SCORERS: Alex Jones 2, Joe Holding & Jamie Stevens.
A brilliant battling performance by the lads saw them take three valuable points off the league leaders. Daniel Bell went close early on when a one on one with the keeper almost resulted in the opening goal, with his touch just letting him down. Bethel created many fine chances in the opening exchanges and were rewarded when captain for the day Alex Jones showed great skill to lob the keeper and give Blues a deserved lead, Bont created few clear cut chances, but did go close when a shot smacked off the crossbar before being cleared. HT:1-0
The second half saw Blues carry on where they left off, looking solid at the back and winning the midfield battle. Blues second came from a fine cross by Daniel Bell with Joe Holding heading into the corner. Alex Jones capped a fine performance with a superb run and shot which gave the keeper no chance. Number four came from a corner by Daniel Bell which was brilliantly volleyed home by Jamie Stevens. Blues came close to number five when sub Cai Weightman showed a great first touch and shot which was well saved by Bont's keeper. The visitors scored a late consolation goal after Blues keeper Liam Williams had to leave the field with an injury, replacement Aaron Gwyn unlucky not to keep out the Bont shot.
Saturday, 12th January 2008
4th ROUND, NORTH WALES COAST CUP UNDER 15’S
Llandudno West Shore 0 - Bethel 5
SCORERS: Dyfan Coles 2, Steffan Bullock, Ben Parker and Louis Williams
Despite not having played a game for six weeks the lads showed little rustiness as they plied the Llandudno goal with numerous attempts in the first quarter. The Llandudno defence remained resolute however and were able to threaten on the break but the Bethel back four were equal to the threat. Bethel’s first goal came towards the end of the first half from the trusty boot of Dyfan Coles.
Bethel turned the screw in the second half and made the most of the type of chances they squandered in the first half with further goals from Steffan Bullock, Dyfan Coles, Ben Parker and Louis Williams. Due to the dominance of the back four, goalkeeper Gavin Williams had little to do until the final quarter when he was called upon to make a supreme top corner save from a well taken volley.
Congratulations to the under 15’s team on their victory. They are now through to the semi final on February 23rd. Good luck boys.

Bethel Blues 4 - Penrhosgarnedd 3
SCORERS: Daniel Bell 2, Gruffydd John 2
Blues moved back into the top three with an unconvincing win against a Penrhos side who were very unlucky not to take at least a point from this game. Poor defensive lapses and poor finishing meant that Blues went into the break 2-1 down with only a Daniel Bell goal to show for their efforts.
The second half saw changes made and an improvement in Bethel's attacking intent. Although they did go 3-1 down to a brilliant Penrhos free kick, the Blues did look more likely to get a goal back, and could afford a missed penalty by Daniel, before he claimed his second goal of the game. Two more goals by Gruffydd John sealed the points for Blues. Next weeks visitors are scheduled to be league leaders Bontnewydd.
A REMINDER THAT TRAINING RESUMES THIS THURSDAY EVENING 10/1/08 AT 6 P.M.
Saturday, November 24th
3rd Round North Wales Coast F.A. Cup
Penrhyn Bay 0 – Bethel 1
Bethel made heavy weather of this match, squandering many chances, but a fine strike from Gwion Williams, finding the top corner of the goal, proved to be enough to secure them a place in the fourth round.
Rhyl Hearts Celtic 10 - Bethel Blues 0
A horror show by the Blues today, as a very good Rhyl side put them to the sword from first minute to last. Within the first 10 minutes awful defending had gifted the home side a two goal advantage, then a fine build up and strike made it three within a quarter of an hour. The boys never recovered from this and never really competed to try and reduce the score, by half time the score was 6-0.
Blues made several substitutions for the second half but the pattern of play remained the same, with damage limitation the order of the day, but despite one or two half chances the boys could not make a dent in the scoreline. With Blues confidence crushed Rhyl went on to score four more.

Bethel Glas 0 –Bethel 1
SCORER: Gethin Maxwell
This was the match players and supporters had been looking forward to,and as "local derbies" go it did not dissapoint,it was the older boys, resplendent in a new red kit,who got off to a storming start really putting the Blues under pressure, hitting the post and having a shot cleared off the line, all within the first 10 minutes, but having weathered the storm Blues got into their passing game and carved out several good chances, but stern defence and fine goalkeeping kept the score blank to half time.
The second period was really end to end stuff, with Liam Williams in the Blues goal making several fine stops, despite struggling through the game with a hip injury, the match was now fast and frantic, and with 15 minutes remaining it looked as if the game was heading for a deserved stalemate, then with Blues not clearing a throw in away from the corner of their own box,Gethin Maxwell struck a cross come shot, which sailed wind assisted into the top corner to break the deadlock, there followed a few minutes of intense pressure once again from the Reds, but Blues fought back looking for an equaliser that almost came, but for a fine save by Gavin in the Reds goal.A superb match and credit to both sets of lads, played in a good spirit.First blood to the reds!
Saturday, November 10th
Felinheli 0 – Bethel 5
SCORERS: Steffan Bullock, Louis Williams, Richard Cashman, Gwion Williams and Mathew Edwards.
Another victory for Bethel, this time against a spirited Felinheli side who battled to the end. There were many attempts to score in the first ten minutes which were thwarted by the Felin defence and their talented goalie, Carwyn Eddie. The first goal was scored by the speedy striker Steffan Bullock after a wonder pass from the wing. Just before the break Richard Cashman made it 2 - 0 for Bethel. Felinheli had time for another attack in the first half and earned a free kick on the edge of the penalty area and were unlucky not to test the Bethel goalie as their effort went inches over the crossbar. A better match after the break with Bethel finding their rhythm and frustrating Felinheli’s efforts to pressurise them in possession. The passing game eventually took its toll on Felinheli and three more goals were scored by Lois Williams, Gwion Williams and Mathew Edwards coming off the bench to score a spectacular goal.

NORTH WALES COAST CUP ROUND 2
Bethel v Conwy Borough (4-2 after penalties)
A feast of football on the Coed Bolyn field on Saturday with both teams contributing to a game of high standard. Despite Conwy’s good start Bethel’s speed up front was causing them all sorts of problems in defence. Many goalscoring opportunities in the first half were squandered due to the frenetic pace of the game and the half ended 0-0. Second half saw Conwy resuming their resolute defence as their talented goalkeeper pulled off some impressive saves. Extra time tested the fitness of both teams and the game had to be settled with a penalty shoot out. Bethel won 4-2 with Gavin the goalkeeper, stopping two of the visitor’s penalty attempts. A cruel way to decide what was a truly excellent performance from both teams.
Bethel Blues 3 v Flint & Bagillt Eagles 0
Yet another fine performance by the Blues saw them progress to round 3,although it took a good ten minutes for them to get to grips with Flint, often leaving midfield gaps for them to exploit, with one golden opportunity missed for the visitors as a bad bounce saw the ball just about clear the bar, after this scare Bethel settled down and created chance after chance, twice hitting the bar, with the home side restricting the visitors to few clear cut chances, it seemed a matter of time before the lads would grab the lead.ht:0-0
The second half saw the Blues take the game by the scruff of the neck, and after a flurry of Bethel corners Daniel Bell powered in a header to break the deadlock, with the tension taken out of the match it was a matter of time before the second arrived, and sure enough midway through the half, some neat skill and a fine finish saw midfielder Joseph Holding put the ball in the back of the net to finally break the Eagles resistance, a scramble in the goalmouth saw Joe claim his second to put the result beyond doubt.
SCORERS: Daniel Bell & Joseph Holding 2.
Wednesday night, October 10th
Bontnewydd 0 - Bethel 0
Two of the league’s stronger teams faced each other in a high standard game. Bont’s goalie was the busiest by far and made several brave saves to keep his team in the game. With the midfields battling for dominance it was obvious that one goal would settle matters but both teams would eventually have to settle for a draw.
Saturday September 29th
Bethel 4-Llanberis 0
Two strong teams with Bethel having the better of the first half with 4 goals. Strong defending from Llanberis created some chances on the break for their attack without success.
SCORERS: Steffan Bullock 2, Gwion Williams and Gethin Maxwell.

Gwyrfai League ~ Thursday September 27th
Bethel Blues 20 v Segontium Rovers 1
The Blues boys proving far too strong for the Cofi's in the first half, indeed the outcome was pretty much decided within the first quarter. ht:11-0
The second half was more of the same with some fine finishing, though Bethel were caught out early in the second half pressing forward in another attack, they were caught on the counter to leave Segontium with a one on one, from which they scored, this did not however dent Blues relentless domination on the game.
NORTH WALES COAST CUP ROUND 1 22/9/07
Connahs Quay Tigers 1 v Bethel Blues 2
A side short on numbers,12 in the squad, meant a shift around in positions for certain players, but a fine performance by every lad meant a place in round two, the first half saw Blues play all the football and carve out several good chances, while the back four stood firm restricting Tigers to long range efforts.ht:0-0
The second half saw Bethel continue with the quality football and midway through the half they were rewarded when Daniel Bell was felled in the area and the referee pointed to the spot, Daniel picked himself up to powerfully dispatch the ball into the far corner, it took stern defence and some fine saves by goalie Liam Williams to steady the ship, but 10 minutes from full time, striker Tom McPartland got just reward for some hard work and some near misses to smack the ball past Tigers keeper to settle the tie, and despite a late rally by Connahs Quay, which brought them a goal, Bethel held on for a deserved victory.
SCORERS:Daniel Bell {pen} & Tom McPartland.
Gwyrfai League ~ Friday September 14th
Bethel 7 - 0 Penrhosgarnedd
This was the teams first match and things are certainly looking good for the rest of the season. Those who came to support were very happy with the boys performance as the passing from defence to attack was slick and there was plenty of ability to recover from any mistakes.
The scorers for Bethel were : Ben Parker 4, Gethin Maxwell 2 and Steffan Bullock.

Bethel Blues 3 v Sheffield F.C.7
Bethel Blues under 15's hosted a prestigious match against Sheffield F.C.who this year celebrate their 150th anniversary, making them the world’s oldest football club. And generous hosts the boys proved to be with an horrendous first half performance, three awful errors at the back gifting Sheffield with a three goal lead within the first 10 minutes. Confidence shaken, the Blues tried to get to half time without conceding any more, but it was not to be and Sheffield added two more goals to go into the break 5 nil ahead.
The second half saw an amazing turnaround with several changes made. The lads took the game to the visitors and were rewarded with a run on goal and chip over the keeper from right winger Ryan Jones. With confidence restored Bethel settled into a fine attacking game which had Sheffield rocking on their heels. Many more chances were created with the reward of a fine strike by Cai Jones cutting the lead, the bar was struck, shots flew wide, and their was a goalmouth scramble where the ball looked to have crossed the line from Ryan Jones, but was not given. In between all this action in the Sheffield goal, they did manage to score a sixth. However, the boys heads did not drop, and from some great wing play, new signing Cai Weightman scored a fine debut goal to make it 3-6. Late in the game, with legs tiring and Bethel pushing for a fourth, Sheffield broke away to score the final goal of a very entertaining game. In the final analysis the score flattered the visitors, but once again the Blues were their own worst enemies.

Bontnewydd 2 v Bethel Blues 0
Bethel's boys felt very hard done by after a match which they mostly dominated from start to finish, but luck was not with them in the first half, as chance after chance went begging, The match could have turned the blues way midway through the half when Gruffydd John was through on goal only to be bundled to the ground rugby style by a defender, but no penalty was given, Bethel had one or two scares in the first half, but the defence stood firm.ht:0-0.
In the second half Bont were more threatening, but the blues again picked up the pace to take the game back to their hosts, but once again shot after shot flew wide, the inevitable happened when Bethel's defence was caught napping and Bont took the lead. This was repeated shortly after and with little time left and Bont in control the boys came away pointless.

Penrhosgarnedd 1 v Bethel Blues 3
A weakened side, with Daniel Bell, Alex Jones & Nathan Price missing put in a tremendously hard fought performance in a very even game, once again it took a good 15 minutes for Bethel to settle into their game, but once they did many chances were created with Gruffydd John clinically putting one away, pressure was put on the visitors defence, but they always looked solid and coped well. Just before half time Gruffydd John put a rebound off the bar into the back of the net, but was ruled offside.HT:0-1
Within 5 minutes of the restart Penrhos were level catching the defence asleep! But the Blues almost got straight back into it with a fine run and shot hitting the post, again from Gruffydd John, a tactical switch saw Ryan Jones move from the wing to striker, and it was his pace and shot which saw Bethel regain the lead, and with a shot hitting the bar shortly after, it was a matter of time before the third goal came, and with 4 minutes left so it did, a corner by Cai Jones was cleared, but came straight back to him, he put the ball back into the box, where Ryan Jones hit the ball into the corner of the net to complete the scoring.
SCORERS: Ryan Jones 2 & Gruffydd John.

FRIENDLY 5/9/07
Bethel Blues 0 v Pwllheli 4
A difficult game for the lads against a side consisting mostly of 16 year olds, but another learning curve, the early signs were good as Bethel strung together some fine moves and created one or two half chances, but Pwllheli slowly took a grip on the game to put the lads under serious pressure, two goals came very quickly, one a fine finish, the other from a bad defensive error. Bethel came more into the game but rarely troubled the visitors keeper, then more bad news as captain Daniel Bell had to leave the game after turning his ankle. Another defensive error further punished the Blues to send them in 3 down at the break.
Almost straight from the restart Pwllheli completed their scoring, and although Bethel tried hard to make an impact on the score it was not to be their night, another injury, this time to keeper Liam Williams after a 50/50 challenge, saw him replaced in goal by defender Aaron Gwyn, who looked very solid and kept himself a clean sheet.
So on to the start of the league season this Saturday against Penrhosgarnedd, as the lads look to claim their first victory.
PRE SEASON FRIENDLY 30/8/07
Holyhead Hotspurs 7 v Bethel Blues 2
Despite the score line more positives than negatives from this first work out for the lads, a very strong Holyhead side with two very quick forwards gave Bethel a torrid time for the first 20 minutes, and scored two quick goals, but after this the Blues settled into their passing game and gave their hosts a few problems, rustiness in front of goal cost the lads the chance to halve the score and they paid the price as Holyhead went 3-0 up, before the break Gruffydd John pulled one back to give the lads encouragement for the second half. ht:3-1.
The second period saw Bethel battle and contest the match all over the field to restrict Hotspurs chances, and when they did break through Blues keeper Liam Williams was in fine form to keep them out. As the game wore on Bethel made substitutions and changed the formation which gave Holyhead the opportunity to score 3 further goals, though the lads still created chances, one of which was put away by debutant Joseph Holding, one of 5 new faces in the side, tiredness crept in the closing stages with Holyhead completing their scoring. But a good first run out for the team against a very good Holyhead, who must be strong favourites to win their league, and strong contenders for the coast cup.
SCORERS: Gruffydd John & Joseph Holding.
