Under 7 Gwyrfai League Tournament
Sunday 1 June 2008
Bethel competed in the Gwyrfai league tournament at Llanrug. Bethel won their group without conceding a single goal, and beat Cae Glyn B, Deiniolen and Segontium and drew with Penrhosgarnedd. In the semi final Bethel beat Cae Glyn 1-0 with a goal from Huw Gwynn. In the final against Segontium, neither side managed to score even after extra time. The game had to be decided on penalties. Unfortunately, Segontium won, but Bethel should feel very proud following their excellent performances during the day.

On Saturday April 19th the team competed in the Felinheli tournament. They played really well, winning 3 games and losing 1 in their group. Unfortunately they lost 1 -0 to Llanberis in the semi final. Congratulations for doing so well.

A very competitive game between two good teams. Llanberis scored first but then Bethel came back with a goal from Callum O'Donnell following a quality cross from Gethin Jones. Both teams had several good chances after that. The score was a good reflection of the play from both teams.

A win for Bethel with goals from Gethin Trefor Jones and Callum O’Donnell but this was a team performance with strong defence and purposeful attack in which everyone played their part.

Bethel played well with some powerful passing of the ball. Both teams had several chances for a goal but there was some very good defending by both teams. Gethin came very close to scoring for Bethel when he hit the cross bar. Keep at it Bethel.
